 System

In July 2004, Las Vegas completed the initial 7-station, 6.2 km stretch of its monorail system, with another 6.4 km stretch awaiting environmental assessment approval. The initial section runs from the Sahara Hotel (now SLS) in the north to the MGM Grand in the south. The line is fully automated with trains built by Bombardier (Mark VI).

The initial segment of the monorail line actually incorporates a short 1.1 km monorail opened in June 1995 to link MGM and Bally's. Both stations and the guideway were upgraded to become part of the new line.

Platform length - 74m, platform screen doors

9 four-section trains (42m long, 2.64 m wide), air-conditioning
